Following the resounding success of the
Wingwalker (used on aircraft), and hundreds of requests for a similar tool
for use on trailers, the TrailerTow was born. The
TrailerTow was born out
of a need for a tool for accurate maneuvering of trailers into or out of
their parking spaces. The TrailerTow simply needs to be laid in place, the
trailer towbar lowered onto the tow-hitch by use of the jockey, the
handhold end of the TrailerTow lifted with the left hand, and the trailer,
caravan, or boat can be moved effortlessly by one person. The TrailerTow
negates the need to attempt tight, accurate maneuvering of trailers with a
vehicle and/or a number of people. It now becomes a one-man/woman job and
significantly reduces the risk of scuffing or even badly damaging your
pride and joy. The TrailerTow also folds in half for easy storage. The
TrailerTow is proudly manufactured in South Africa and is built to
exacting international standards. You can use your TrailerTow
almost
anywhere, in wet or dry conditions, and on almost all surfaces including
firm grass or gravel. Optimum performance however, is obviously attained
on hard, even, and dry surfaces such as asphalt and concrete. Gradients of
up to 5 degrees are negotiable under favourable conditions. Move forwards
or backwards, or through a complete 360-degree turn, clockwise or
anti-clockwise. Position your caravan/trailer exactly where you want it.
The gearing and positive drive enables power to be delivered to the
wheels, not only to rotate them for motion, but also to allow positive
braking action. Due to the gear ratio, the TrailerTow
can produce the
equivalent pushing power of up to four people. However, this pushing power
can be limited by traction. Ultimate performance is governed by the
coefficient of friction – wheels to surface. All TrailerTows
are
supplied with standard gearing but alternate gearing (higher or lower) is
available on request.
The TT10
Below
is the TT10, the crank-handle model, and it is supplied with
standard gearing. For unusual operations different gearing is available
at no extra charge. The TT10 folds up to a size of 10'' x 13" x
31" (140 x 330 x 790mm). It weighs 35 lbs (16kg). The TT10 retails
for R6995. Shipping to the USA is R550 (please

The TT20
Below is the TT20. The
TT20 has two speeds forward and two speeds reverse and is powered by a
12V12A sealed lead-acid battery driving a geared DC electric motor. It
is completely independent of any external source of power and weighs
48lbs (22kg). This model also folds for easier storage and retails
for R9995. Shipping to the USA is R970 (please
enquire about other countries).
